Working Together for the Betterment of Our Community
The Gwinnett County Commissioner of Transportation and Director of Transportation to time to meet with our Westheimer Estates Homeowners Association Board Members on Saturday, April 13, 2024. A lot was discussed about the needs of Westheimer Estates community including the issue of the front entrance of the community. A few ideas was suggested on how to make the community safer for the homeowners of Westheimer Estates. It was a great meeting and a good opportunity to brainstorm with the office of transportation on how our community could get more involved. If you would like to reach out to the office of the Commissioner of Transportation or the office of the Director of Transportation you can find their information below.
Saturday, April 13th was a full day. Months prior while the Westheimer Estates HOA Board members were planning an event to bring the community together while celebrating the coming of spring an idea was brought up about inviting Gwinnett county officials to come talk to the community members, if not at least the board members about bettering our community and getting the support from the county. One particular issues that needed to be address was the front entrance to the community. So plans began to invite someone from the office of the Commissioner of Transportation. The board had already decided that a Spring cleaning by the way of a Community Yard sale would be a great way to welcome the Spring. To add good measure, the board also decided that having a dumpster for the community would be a great ideas as well, so that was added to the list of activities for the weekend. Later on we were lucky enough to get a sponsor for a second dumpster from Pheloundasha Copeland, Real Estate partner with Keller Williams Reality.
It wasn’t until the week of the event that the office of the Commissioner could confirm their attendance however it was with much appreciation that the Westheimer Estates HOA board members welcome both Commissioner Wakins and Director Aponte to our humble community of Westheimer Estates after a good day of our Yard Sale.
